GUIDES and  their HUNTING TECHNIQUES

The guiding is done by experienced professionals who will make every effort to get you the trophy of a lifetime.  They will also insure you a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable adventure.  Our guides don’t just step foot into elk country the first day of the season.  They spend countless days during the spring, summer, and fall scouting and picking up shed antlers.  Shed antlers are the best indication of what bulls survived the hunting season.

Head guide and co-owner, Tosh Grant was a top graduate and then instructor of the Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School and has 11 years of guiding experience.  Tosh has been involved in guiding hunters on over 60 trophy bull elk kills and boasts a near 100% shooting opportunity on big bulls  for archery, rifle, and muzzleloader.

As Tosh has proven, to be a successful guide takes a lot of hard work and dedication.  A lot of preseason time must be spent in the back country looking for elk and finding the herds of elk that have trophy bulls in them.  Remember, a great guide is just as important as the area you are hunting.

Our guides will get you into big game country by 4x4 trucks, ATV’s or horses.  Then, hunting techniques such as spot and stalk, bugling, cow talk, and rattling will be used.  The techniques used to get close to a big bull or deer depend on the time of year, weather conditions, and elk movement.  Our experienced guides will provide you with the proper scent cover to make you invisible while stalking or calling in a trophy bull or buck.
